Today was my last day at work. In fact, I’m posting this from my office computer; it’s a ploy to delay packing up my things and having to head home just yet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to not having to set an alarm and rush to the office in the morning next week. But I am also very sad, because I love this company and my colleagues a whole lot. It’s been a stimulating, interesting, rewarding and challenging few years here, and aside from professional accomplishments, I have also made some very good friends.

But, since it’s the family business, I know that this isn’t goodbye. Just a change of state. We had cake today, and I received lovely flowers. M. came to help ease my transition. Here are some photos from today, and from fun times in the past…

Thanks, guys! I feel so blessed to have worked closely with colleagues I consider friends. And plan on following David’s advice to “never ever be a stranger.”

What does this mean for Joe and I? We’re heading to NYC next week to find a sublet.. we’ll bring the kitties over when we find a place and hang out there for a few months, and see where the tides bring us after that. Hopefully Williamstown by summertime!

And the good news for this blog is that my unconstrained days will now allow me to get back to posting regularly! Fingers crossed :)
