2010!! Happy New Year!
2010?? How did this happen? Time flies when you’re having fun! And, more importantly, This is It! (No, not the MJ movie.) We’re getting married THIS year. A wedding “in the fall next year” had seemed so far away. I have to drop the “next year” part now. Truth be told, I’m pretty happy about that :)
Joe and I are slowly getting back into the swing of life in California after a blissful if blistering cold two weeks on the East Coast for the holidays. We made trips to Williamstown, New York and Boston, and mostly relaxed, completely pampered with food and comfort at the Future In Laws’ in Acton. I also did a decent amount of quilting. Quilting is something I’ve taken up in the last year and I absolutely love it. In fact, I hereby launch my other blog: GS Crafts. Take a peek every now and then to see how I’ve been keeping myself busy in evenings, on weekends and during vacations. Wheee!!
We did, however, manage to send out some Save-The-Dates before leaving for the East Coast. So now that they’ve been mailed out, we can talk about them a bit on the blog. Other things we’ve accomplished but not yet mentioned here at BoundForBliss: booking hotel rooms, finding a photographer, enquiring about shuttles, looking for bridesmaids dresses. Those travails will be discussed in upcoming posts.
For now, however, I just wanted to say “hi! yes this blog is still alive!” and to let you know that I’ll be back again, sooner rather than later, I hope.
Happy, happy 2010!
(cheat pic; this was from our engagement night in September. We actually crashed at about 11:17pm PST on 12/31/09. In our defense, though, to our bodies it was actually 02:17am EST 01/01/10 so we’re not as old and lame as we might appear…?)
p.s. if anyone knows how to make pictures not look distorted on tumblr, let me know! I haven’t spent the requisite amount of time getting to know this platform, something of which you are probably painfully aware.. (update! Joe the Genius came to the rescue and helped me figure it out… you can now peruse pics without thinking we’re all gumbyesque in stature. Though I must say the elongating isn’t always a bad thing… :) )
